Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• building melt changes (steel, stainless steel & iron)
• Forklift & overhead crane operation (as req’d to assist in daily production)
• Induction furnace inspection and maintenance
• Charging, operating, taking temperature and samples from the furnaces
• Operation of a spectrometer, adjustment of melts, tapping of the furnaces
• Ladle maintenance
• Record keeping
• Able to work in the metallurgy lab alongside the metalurgist
• Assisting in various foundry departments (molding, melting, pouring, cleaning, shipping) as required by work demand

Please note: this is not a warehouse picker/forklift operator position -hands-on, manual labor is required

You will be learning/performing all the melt department – ongoing training provided
